Carter to Address International Human Rights Conference
Nobel laureate and former President Jimmy Carter will give the opening address this week at "Advancing the Consensus," a conference at Emory University School of Law celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Free tickets are still available to Carter's keynote speech at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 in Glenn Memorial Auditorium. Also speaking will be Nobel laureate and Iranian human rights activist Shirin Ebadi and Upendra Baxi, professor of law Warwick University of Coventry, England.
