Lt. General Russel L. Honore' to Speak at Emory Dec. 8

WHAT:

Grand Rounds: The 2nd annual Arthur L. Kellermann, MD, MPH, Health Policy Lecture

"See First, Understand First... The New Normal" – sponsored by Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine

WHO:

Lt. General Russel L. Honore’, US Army (Ret), will be guest speaker. He was widely hailed by the media as the “Category 5 General” who led Task Force Katrina in the aftermath of the devastating hurricanes that struck the Gulf Coast in the summer of 2005.

General Honore’ is currently a Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization, where he is working on developing questions to determine levels of preparedness, and serves as a CNN Preparedness Contributor. After more than 37 years of uniform service to the U.S. Army and our nation, he is committed to a new mission: Creating a “Culture of Preparedness” in America.

He is a visiting professor of epidemiology in Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health and an adjunct faculty member in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing’s Department of Family & Community Nursing.
