Web Microsite Focuses on Emory's Rankings, Strengths
A new microsite launched by Emory University on Emory.edu now provides information on the university's rankings and strengths all in one place, www.emory.edu/rankings. The site compiles information about the university as well as content from Emory’s YouTube channel and ITunesU. The eight sub-sections provide highlights of Emory’s achievements not only in rankings but also in areas such as distinguished faculty, students, alumni, research and academic excellence.
Emory ranks among the top 20 national universities in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges."
Emory’s central Web site received approximately 9.2 million visits in fiscal year 2009 or about 800,000 visits per month. Approximately 2.5 million different people visited the 80 pages that comprise the Web architecture of emory.edu last year, and they viewed 18 million pages of the site. These statistics are in addition to many other servers and sites at Emory that receive Web traffic.
Web visitors came from 219 countries with about 95 percent of the traffic being domestic; China, Korea, the United Kingdom, Canada and India were the countries with the most visits.
