Virtual Healthy Break-Up Summit Brings Teens Together from Across the Nation to Promote Safe Dating Relationships
For more information on Start Strong, visit startstrongatl.org.ATLANTA- Teens from across the nation will showcase skills for ending relationships in safe and healthy ways at the first ever national Healthy Break-Up Summit, organized by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Start Strong: Building Healthy Teen Relationships Initiative. Teen leaders from Start Strong Atlanta will gather at the Jane Fonda Center at Emory University on Thursday, July 14, for a one day web-based summit to connect virtually with other teens from across the country.
Start Strong Atlanta is a public health initiative focused on building healthy teen relationships and preventing teen dating violence. One in three high school students reports experiencing some form of relationship abuse by the time they leave high school. Young people need to know how to end relationships in a healthy, non-violent way.
The Jane Fonda Center at Emory University is one of 11 community organizations nationwide to receive $1 million in funding through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s national Start Strong: Building Healthy Teen Relationships initiative for the local program.

Virtual healthy break-up summit gathers together youth from across the country to learn how to end relationships in a healthy, safe, respectful manner.

Start Strong Atlanta Youth Leaders from the Grady Health System’s Teen Services Program and Atlanta Public Schools, along with youth from 10 other cities across the country.
